unfortunately we are still seeing the effects of the pandemic, almost 3 years after it all began.

the safety of our talent and our customers is the most important thing to us as a small business.

what are the basics?

if you need to change the date of your event because of Covid-19 (or any other legitimate reason), we will do that free of charge.

to respect everyone's time, please give us as much notice as possible. there is a chance your original talent may not be available, so replacement talent may need to be found.

if you need to fully cancel your event, we will provide a full refund as long as it is cancelled before the 14 day lead-up to your event.

if you wish to fully cancel your event and it is meant to happen in less than 14 days time, we will keep 25% of the total fee and refund the remaining balance to you. this is to cover basic admin fees associated with your booking.

for our customers

our talent will not be attending any events that could potentially negatively impact their health and/or safety. this includes events where there has been a confirmed or close contact, no matter how mild anyones symptoms are.

it’s essential that you let us know ASAP if your event is not suitably safe for us to attend and we will offer to move to another date and time. if we move to a date and time that isn’t suitable for your already confirmed talent, we may need to find someone else for your booking. this will all be done free of charge.

if you need to cancel the event altogether, a full or partial refund may be available. please send us an email and we can discuss the options with you. every situation is different and at the end of the day, we are a small business and spend the majority of our time organising your event, so we need to be mindful of this when issuing refunds. in general, refunds depend on how much notice we are given and the reason for the cancellation. whilst it may be frustrating, it’s unfair to cancel last minute without some kind of compensation to us and our talent. this is why we prefer to reschedule rather than cancel. generally we will require more than 14 days notice.

if perfectly queer needs to cancel the event, we will reach out to you as soon as possible. events will only be cancelled if we can not find any replacement talent for your event. if in the unlikely instance we can not find any replacement talent for you, we will offer a full refund.

we have successfully run hundreds of events and have not yet had to cancel a single one, however we need to be realistic with our customers. if we do have to cancel, we know it sucks but please understand that we have exhausted every possible avenue and there is nothing we can do about it.

our talent operate as independent contractors and small businesses themselves. time is the most valuable thing to them. putting it simply, if they become unwell, they lose their income, so we must make sure that their health and safety, and the health and safety of our customers is a priority.

for our talent

all talent is fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including booster shots where applicable.

as a representative of perfectly queer, you are responsible for your own safety. not just for events where you are booked, but in your every day life. social distance as much as you can, wash your hands and wear a mask where applicable.

if you have any confirmed bookings and you fall ill, you need to let us know immediately. we will communicate to the customer and try to find alternate talent straight away. your help in finding a replacement will be appreciated.

remember, there are no exceptions to any the above. if you are unwell, get tested. the safety of yourself, our customers and the community is the most important to us as a business.
